LAXATIVE TEAS AND SEA SALT WATER

 

After the first day or two on an all-liquid diet like the Lemon Detox Diet, the body most likely will not produce a bowel movement.

However, while cleansing, it is important to try to have at least a couple of bowel movements a day. To assist with this, a mild laxative herbal tea is recommended. Drink one cup of tea in the evening before bed and the sea salt water in the morning.

Some people find that certain laxative teas induce cramps, so be sure to start with a mild brew when trying it for the first time.

Sea salt-water drink…

As it is necessary to bathe the outside of our bodies, so it is with the inside.

The sea salt-water drink will produce a bowel movement because its salinity level is similar to the salinity of our body. Several eliminations will likely occur within the hour.

The sea salt-water drink is such a great laxative.

When mixing the sea salt-water drink (two teaspoons dissolved in one litre of warm water), make sure to use uniodized sea salt and not table salt!

 You should try and drink as much of the 1 litre drink as possible.

Finally make sure you stay near a restroom for the next hour.

If the taste of the salt water is uncomfortable for you, you can substitute it for another cup of the herbal laxative tea instead.

Drink the sea salt water first thing in the morning.

ELIMINATION - The Key To Success

Eliminating the toxins in your body is the key to a successful diet.

Elimination is the transportation of this waste out of the body. The better the elimination, the better the results.

Waste in your body that is not continuously removed will be reabsorbed through your system.

We recommend you drink at least 1-2 litres of water in addition to the Lemon Detox drink, to effectively flush the system.

The more fluid in your system the less concentrated the dissolved toxins will be on your eliminative organs.


Any problems which occur during the Lemon Detox Diet are usually the result of inefficient elimination.

Brushing your skin and light exercise are also a great complement to the Lemon Detox Diet.

Skin brushing

Approximately 10% of body elimination occurs through the skin.

Skin brushing facilitates skin cleansing by stimulating the system to eliminate toxins through the skin.

Many toxic substances are eliminated through the skin. Lightly brushing the skin with a dry brush stimulates blood and circulation.

Use a soft bristle brush. Start brushing at your feet and brush towards the heart, since it is important to follow the flow of lymphatic fluid.

Instructions
1. Use a long handled natural bristle brush. You can find one at the health food store. If you are unable to find one, use a loofah sponge.
2. Start at the soles of your feet. Using light pressure, brush in small circles from the legs towards the chest, palms of the hands towards the chest, and then the back towards the abdomen. Finish with the scalp.
3. Avoid the face, breasts, and other sensitive areas. Skin brushing can be done in the morning or evening by itself or before a contrast shower
